283 Marion Iowa May 28- 1917 Cary Club met with Mrs Shumack at the usual hour. Pres. Mrs Mentzer called club to order Twelve members responded to roll call, telling their favorite flower. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved Bill for spoon for Mrs Alderman one of our members moving from city was allowed Committee for annual Tea was appointed Mrs Blinks Winter and Shumack Mrs Cross then gave her work on programs. Summeries and Conclusions, and Mrs Mentzer American Wild flowers. Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks for annual Tea. Addie B Shumack Secty. pro. tem Mrs Ellen Mentzer Pres. - The closing meeting of the club year of the Cary club was held last week at the home of the retiring president, Mrs. E.J. Mentzer. The ladies enjoyed the afternoon socially and at 6:30 the families and guests arrived and were seated at one large and five small tables, where they were served a two-course dinner by the committee in charge. All present enjoyed a delightful afternoon and evening.
