287 Ellson and Reichert. Moved and carried that Club give $5.00 to the Red Cross fund. Mrs Reichert then read the 3rd and 4th chapters of the club story. Mrs Shumack then gave her work on The Scenic Beauty of Colorado, which was very interesting. Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs McKean. Mrs Blinks, Pres. Carrie L. Reichert, Secy. Marion, Iowa. Oct. 8, 1917 Club Guest Day. -At the late annual guest day of the Cary club, which was held at the house of Mrs. C.A. Pyle, forty-five women were present. Hydrangeas and China asters decorated the rooms. A program consisting of a number of songs by Mrs. Edgar Pyle; several readings by Mrs. O.L. Brown and Mrs. A.E. Blinks, and a guessing contests, proved entertaining. A two-course dinner, under the supervisor of Mrs. Nichols, was then served by the committee in charge. Marion, Iowa. Oct. 22, 1917 The Cary Club met with Mrs Shumack at the usual hour, with 12 members present. The President Mrs Blinks called meeting to order. Roll call responded to by Incidents of Travel. Minutes of last meeting read and accepted. Mrs Blinks gave report of the Federation. The 5th & 6th chapters of the club story were read by Mrs Shumack. Mrs Pyle then gave Mrs Griffiths work on National Parks, which was very interesting. Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in 2 weeks with Mrs Griffiths. Carrie L. Reichert Secy.
