289 Marion, Iowa. December, 3, 1917. The Cary Club met with Mrs Blinks at the usual hour, with eleven members present. The President Mrs Blinks called meeting to order. Roll call was responded to by quotations of Mother. Minutes of last meeting read and accepted. The 11th and 12th chapters of the club story were ready. Mrs Ives gave her work on Washington, its beginning, its growth and its future, which was very interesting. Mrs Ives showed the ladies a picture of Camp Funston near Kansas City, where her son is stationed. Currents events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs Cross. The Cary Club met with Mrs Cross at the usual hour, with eleven members present and two visitors, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Englebert. The President Mrs Blinks called meeting to order. Roll call was responded to by Christmas Quotations. Minutes of previous meeting accepted. An invitation was read inviting the club to a Get-together meeting on New Years afternoon, for the Red Cross in Odd Fellows hall. Mrs. Blinks gave report of Federation. A very interesting letter was read from Mrs Shumack, written to the ladies of the club. The 13" and 14" chapters of the club story were read. Mrs Elson gave her work on Natural Caves & Bridges, the National Park, Wind Cave in South Dakota, which was very good. Currants events were given and club adjourned to meet in three weeks with Mrs Reichert. Mrs Blinks President. Carrie Reichert Secy.
