294 Marion, Iowa. April, 29, 1918. The Cary Club met with Mrs Elson at the usual hour, with eight members present. The President Mrs Blinks called meeting to order, roll call being responded to by, Items on the United States. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. The 31st and 32nd chapters of the club story were read. Mrs Wilson gave her work on, "American Volcanoes". Current events were given and club adjourned to meet with Mrs Bailey in two weeks at one oclock to finish the work on hand for the Red Cross. Mrs Blinks President. Carrie Reichert Secy. Marion, Iowa. May, 13, 1918. The Cary Club met with Mrs Bailey at one oclock, for regular meeting and to sew for the Red Cross. President Mrs Blinks called meeting to order, roll call being responded to, by Quotations from Noted Men. Minutes of last meeting read and accepted. Mrs Cross was appointed as delegate to represent the club before the County Demonstrator. It was decided to type-write the programs for the coming year and give the balance of the money that was usually paid out for programes, to the Red Cross. Election of officers was next in order, which resulted all follows: - President - Mrs E.W. McKean, Vice President - Mrs C. A. Pyle, Secretary - Mrs Addie Shumack, Treasurer - Mrs C. E. Cross. The 33rd chapter of the club story was read. Mrs Winter gave her work, "Beauty Spots on American Rivers". Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks. Mrs Blinks, Pres.
