58 Marion, Iowa. Oct.25, 1920. The Cary Club met with Mrs Griffiths at the usual hour. The club was called to order by the President Mrs Pyle. Twelve members responded to roll call and one guest Mrs Grace Griffiths Hanson. Minutes of last meeting read and accepted. Mrs Brown gave a report of the Federation meeting. The Cary Club were invited to a reception given by the women of the Federated Clubs to the teachers of the city schools Monday evening in the library. A committee of Mrs Mentzer, Mrs Ives and Mrs Wilson were appointed to send resolutions of respect to Mrs Parmenter in her sorrow, she being a former member of the club. Mrs Brown gave her work, Stoddards Lectures. And Mrs Winter gave Mrs Shumacks work Modern Irish Poetry. Irish Fairy and Folk Tales, Carrie Reickert. Current events were given and club adjourned.
