Marion, Iowa. Oct 22-23 The Cary Club met Oct. 22, with Mrs. Shumack. The president called the meeting to order, thirteen members responded to roll call by giving old time epitaphs. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. In compliance with the request of Mrs. Cross a motion was made that Mrs. Cross' name be placed on the retired list of Cary Club members. Carried. Mrs. Locke gave a report of the attendence of the club for the last year. The largest members present at any meeting was fifteen and the smallest members was eight. The president approved Mrs. Muter's press reporter program. News from Nations World - Mrs. McKean Race for Empire - Mrs. Brown Current events were given and club adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Blinks. Mrs. Shumack served us some very fine pears grown in her own door yard. Ina Fernow, sec.
