The W.C.T.U. meeting in October was held at the home of Mrs Andrew McDonough. Mrs. Alden had charge of the devotionals which began with the song "To the work" Mrs. Alden then read thirty verses of the one hundred seventh psalm. Mrs Robert Lincoln and Mrs Charles Horak led in prayer. The song "rescue the Perishing" was then sung. The president then appointed the following members to visit the different schools. Cooper (Mrs. George and Mrs. Russell) Center (Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Kearney) Davis (Mrs. German and Mrs. Heisel) Parker (Mrs. Turber and Mrs. Hess) At this time Mrs. Robt Lincoln made Mrs. German a life member. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Discussion followed as to whether we should purchase the special literature the same as last year. It was moved and seconded that we would. carried. The meeting was then given over to our two elected delegates who brought quite an interesting account of the convention at Davenport.
