82 1934 Mrs Hess gave her Flower Mission report 29 bouquets were distributed among the shut ins and the hospitals. The text cards were sent to the Home at Toledo. The flowers were so few that much that had been done in former years could not be done this year. Miss Bailey gave an interesting report of the Convention at Searsboro. The meeting was adjourned with the benediction. Mrs George Lincoln-Sec. July W.C.T.U. met for their regular meeting and annual picnic July 17. at the home of Mrs W. J. Neely. The meeting was opened by the Westfield ladies. Mrs Horwell having charge of the Devotionals. Appropiate Scripture readings were given followed by a good talk and prayer. Mrs Lord gave a reading which gave us a chance to laugh. Several short, timely talks were given. Miss Alyce Pearce gave her Irish reading which was enjoyed even tho the maid did have a hard time understanding the modern mistress. This reading closed the program. Miss Butler took charge of the business meeting. It was moved, seconded and carried that the President appoint a nominating committee. Miss Bailey outlined the life of Miss Ella Marsh particularly in regard to her attitude toward temperance and religious activities. Meeting closed with the W.C.T.U. benediction. A fine picnic supper was then enjoyed by the 16 ladies present. The Union was pleased to have the County Secretary, Mrs Baker of Searsboro with us at this meeting. Mrs J S. Stoakes-Sec. Pro Tem. Nominating Committee appointed were Miss Jennie Bailey, Mrs C. S. George and Miss Ada Park.
