Mrs. Skilles suggest we have the meetings in the high school if we can, so as to avoid the appearance of denominationalism. Adjourned. Ada Parks, Secretary. Last Services for Edward Lincoln Held Wednesday Funeral services for Edward Lincoln were held Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. C.D. Loose and Rev. L.E. McCargar. Three favorite hymns were sung by a male quartet composed of Harvey Howell, Howard Lord, Jesse Lord, and Martin Pearce, with Mrs. Anna May Evans at the piano. Blanche Howell, Katherine McDowell, and Croft Pilgrim acted as flower bearers and pallbearers were Ross Coutts, Russell George, and Alex, Charles, Edward and John Lincoln. Interment was made in Westfield cemetery. Husband & father of members W.C.T.U. --- Edward Lincoln, Jr., Aged 82, Died This Morning Edward Lincoln, Jr., 82, of 1900 Fourth Avenue, passed away at a local hospital at 6 a.m. today after brief illness. Apr 9 Awaiting the arrival of daughter, Hazel, from Ada, ohio, the time of the funeral service has not been determined. Friends may call Smith Funeral Home for time of service. --- W.C.T.U, MEETING WITH MRS. E.L. McCLURE Mrs. E.L. McClure was hostess to the Woman's Christian Temperance Union Tuesday afternoon. Miss Edna Sherman present the program on the topic "Our Young People." Devotions were led by Mrs. John Evans. The business meeting was presided over by the vice-president, Mrs. H.A. Jackson. Plans were discussed for observing Mother's Day. May 1945 the WCTU met May 15, 1946 with Mrs. H.A. Jackson, who presided at the business session and also as hostess at the potluck which was enjoyed at the close of the meeting. A guest from a distance was Mrs. J.P. Baker of Scarboro, long the secretary of the county WCTU. The secretary's report was read and approved. the treasurer's report was read and approved, $36.00 on hand, some added, perhaps $10.00 more. Bills reported of 45¢ for candles used at the candlelighting at the special program. Announcement was made that on Monday, May 14th, mrs. Skiles taught a temperance lesson to 32 children. Mrs. McBlain suggested that for June, July, and August, temperance meetings might be held at the various churches in the various parts of town, north, south, middle, etc, with some sort of light refreshments. Mrs. McCargan suggested that Mrs. Skiles be the leader. For her own meeting, Mrs. Skiles sent for [helps?] at a cost of 90¢. We voted to pay for the 90¢ package to he
