293 1950 Sept Meeting Sept the WCTU meet at the home of Mrs Harlan [Sneman?] with 10 members, present. The meeting opened by singing the WCTU Hymn. Mrs Skylie gave the devotions, reading Mathew 5, 1 to 13 verses. her comments on these verses were very helphfull to all of us. Mrs W.J. Stewart offered prayer. The Salute was given by all the members of the WCTU to the American Christian and Temperance Flags. Mrs McBlain presented the lesson and told something of the work of the 22 departments of the union each of which is very important. The Article "Modern Woman" was read by Mrs Long. "How to say no" By Mrs [Inman?], "Can you afford to support the liquor traffic" By Nellie Lincoln and "What One Woman did" By Mrs Stewart. Secretary repor on the last meeting read and approved. The Treasurers report was read. The Memorial to Miss Park was discussed. The [commition?] dates were given. The report of the Nominating Committee was read. The meeting closed with the Benediction. Mrs Fay Stanley Secretary Pro Tem.
