Aug 18 Secretary's Report coninued [sic] The Secretary was instructed to order the program material for the New Year. No further business. The meeting close [sic] by all repeating the WCTU Benediction. Eva Pepoon Secretary Sept 15 W.C.T.U. meet [sic] at the home of Nellie Inman. With the President Mrs McBlain presidind [sic] there were 9 members present and 3 Guests Meeting opened by singing America and America The Beautifull [sic] Mrs Hagenlock had charge of Devotionals. She choose [sic] Act [sic] 17:1-9 Keep Going On Sowing Seeds of Courage. The W.C.T.U. motto was repeated in unsion [sic] by the members For God and Home and Every Land after which the four Pledges were given to The American Flag, Christian Flag, Temperance flag And The Temperence [sic] Pledge, Mrs Renfrau gave a very interesting talk On Mrs. Schamer's Mission for Negros at Washington D.C. Mrs McBlain gave an outline of The W.C.T.U. work. In the 3 Day meeting of The W.C.T.U. work shop on Narcotics and Alcoholic Education at Bay View Mich. Mrs Casand nominated Mrs McBlain to attend Our State meeting to be held at Cedar Rapids Oct 6,7,8. A motion By Mrs Jones 2nd By Renfrau we send $10.00 To a life membership fun for Mrs. Ralph Allen. Mrs Edyth Lynch Mrs [Clean?] Russell and Mrs Gertrude Ewing joined The WCTU Organization. Meeting closed by repeating the WCTU benediction Eva M. Pepoon Secretary Oct Oct meeting Was family nite with a pot Luck Supper held in the Basement of The Methodist Church with The President Mrs McBlain In Charge Eva M Pepoon Secretary Nov 17 W.C.T.U. meet [sic] at the home of Mrs McBlain with 20 members present. Mrs McBlain The President presiding Mrs Ed Parish had charge of The Devotionals. She read from The Scriptuers [sic] Mica [sic] 4:1-5 and Isa 65: 24-25 Fighting for Peace, closing with a prayer. Mrs Whitley presented the Program Alcohol In religion from the Union Signal also an interesting article Of Liquor causing deliquncy [sic] In - In Our Youth and Power No body buisness [sic]
