413 March W.C.T.U. The Women's Christian Temperance Union met in the home of Marie Thompson March 10, 1970 There were six members present Marie - Mabel Fedelia - Eloise Lela - Carol we repeated the three salutes which were the American, Christian and Temperance. We next sang the song "Oh Master Let me Walk with Thee." The devotions were read by Lela A. about the conversion of Paul. She also read the poem about how our Heavenly Father brings out the beauty of Easter. We discussed making lap robes. Eloise said she would make some if she had some slightly old sheets or single blankets. Eloise took our number of calls and cards for the sick or "shut-ins." We had no unfinished business There was discussion about who would give the next two lessons Lela read a letter from Mrs. Roberts our state president telling us to vote against the bill for legalizing the sale of liquor which is marked File No. 87. We are able to vote against gambling which is No. H.J.R.10 & The other bill is opposing stores opening on Sundays. We signed the File no. 87 and Fedilia German took the paper for others to sign.
