417 October 20, 1970 W.C.T.U Nine members met at the home of Lela Adams the president. The three flag salutes were given. Lela's devotions were read from Timothy Chapter I. We should make use of our talents that God has given us. This starts with family prayer at home. She read our song "Back to God America The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. No one attended the state W.C.T.U. meeting which met in Fort Dodge last month Nellie Lincoln our treasurer reported that we now have $21.50 from our "Foot of Quarters to foot the bill, as part of our share, for the guest who will be at the convention in Chicago. She also read that our balance Sept. 1, 1970 was $37.64. We voted to accept Nellie's yearly report. Our president reported that more than $1000 was sent from our nation to buy Pepsi for the soldier boys. Eva Pepoon read a letter from Mr. Kyl stating that he favors prayer in schools. Lela Adams read Part I of "Under-our Teenagers." One thing for us to do is obey the laws ourselves. We can't put all juveniles together if they disobey laws or rules. The same medicine doesn't cure every one. Some young people can be cured of their emotional behavior by the correct professional help. Mildred Jones topic was about International Relations. Billy Sunday was a ball player. He also liked "booze." When he heard some Salvation Army singers in Marshalltown Iowa,he decided he had better repent He became a famous minister. Mr. Fisher of M't'wn was with the city dept. before he came upon the idea of Fischer Governors He uses some of his money to kelp unfortunates Binford House in M'twn is used to dinners Miss Mrs Binford helped poor people.
