It was reported that Mabel Morgan is home now and has her meals delivered to her home. Before I completed this report I visited Mabel and her hips and one leg seemed to ache very much. She gets around by using a walker. She has had a telephone put in her living room by her chair. She also has one tel. in her kitchen The discussion is that our W.C.T.U. should be inactive but we should pay our dues to the state head quarters. We will decide what to do at our Aug. meeting. Some bills referred to were: the bills in Congress considering prayer in schools and prohibiting the advertising of alcohol beverages of TV. We closed with our Aeronic? Benediction prayer. The six of us enjoyed a bountiful basket dinner at 5:00 P.M. Pres. Eloise Keister Sec. Carol I. Sammon Sep 18, 1973 (No Aug. meeting) We met in the home of Mildred Jones. Eloise Keister the pres., opened the meeting by leading us in our three pledges, the Am., Christian and Temperance. The devotions were presented by Lela Adams. She spoke about the wisdom of Ester. Paul found out about Gob. He is closer to us in time of sorrow. The world is 1% good, 1% bad, and 98% neutral. Jesus said we can do nothing without God. In Matthew IV after the devil tried to tempt Jesus - Jesus said "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." We sang "I will make you Fishers of men." [illegible]'s closing poem was about putting our burdens at the foot of the Cross. Eloise read a poem about alcoholism isn't a disease. Pray because it was our Lord's command. Have a definite time to pray. We made 36 calls and sent 28 cards. The sec retary's? report was read and approved. The treasurer gave our balance as $49.27 at the beginning of Sept. 1973. Her whole yearly report was accepted. We have 16 members now and two honorary members: Rev Myron Harris and Harvey Mickel?. There was no old [illegible]
