Feb. 17. 1914
The Feb. meeting was held in the [Frende?] church. The meeting was called to order by our Pres. We sang "Rock of Ages", and Thou Almighty King. Mrs. Brand led the devotional exercises taking for our less the 11th chapter of Mark. After prayer we sang "Must jesus bear the Cross alone". It was moved and seconed to appoint a committee to secure a place to hold our market day. carried. Miss Bailey and Mrs. [Wage?] were appointed. Miss Bailey asked each member to write 10 Scripture verses on 10 calling cards, for flower mission day.
Miss Korne very kindly sang a beautiful selection for us.
Mrs. Lincoln had charge of our program.
Topic. "Our Boys and Girls, Our Greatest Asset."
Mr. [Sopler?] being ill his wife read a paper he had written. It was very interesting.
Mr. Lincoln then took up the subject. He said our greatest asset was right living. He said what a young main most needed was Christian character. The Union gave Mr. Lincoln a [illegible] vote of thanks for his appreciative words.
Miss Marsh told of a mother who asked for our prayers for a wayward son. A number of prayers were offerd. 15 were present.
