Our W.C.T.U. met in the Baptist church April 20, 1914 Meeting called to order by our Pres. by singing "Wonderful Words of Life" and "My Faith Looks [set?] to Thee" Mrs. Webster the Baptist ministers wife led the devotional exercises by reading the W.C.T.U. Travelers Psalm which is the 121st Psalm. Miss Bailey gave our market day report. something over $30.00 was taken in. Moved and sec. that our W.C.T.U. show their appreciation of the stand taken by our ministers and the Grinnell Register to show their disapoval of immoral playe. Mrs. [Hibbits?], Mrs. Wilson and Miss Buck were appointed judges of the temperance essay contest. All who went to the convention were to be delegates. Moved and sec. that 1.00 be given to help pay for Mrs. Stewarts lecture. carried. Miss Lincoln played M.W. [Butters?] "Shall We Gather at the River" with variations. Mrs. Brand being ill, Miss Ella Marsh took charge of the program. Topic Cooperation of the W.C.T.U. and our missionary societies. She gave us a very interesting program. 15 present. closed by repeating the [Meg/sah?]
