July 20 1915: Met in the Christian Church. Mrs. Thoreson. of that Chruch led the Devotional exercises. After singing she read the 34 Psalm. and led in prayer. Minutes were read and approved. Nvm. [Cvm.?] elected. Miss Mary Morrison Mrs. Webster & Mrs. Brande. Program [Cvm.?] Mrs. Meacham, Mrs. Watland and Mrs. Stocks. Moved & Sec. that we pay $1.00 toward ex-penses of Peace Pageant. levm. on Rest Tent for Fair appointed Mrs. Wrage, Miss Jennie Bailey, Mrs. Emma Bailey, Mrs. Lincoln. Reports of school visitors were given Miss. Bailey and Miss Peirce visited Parker- One teacher compared the building of the body to the building of a house only good material should be put into it- no poison- as alcohol or tobacco Mrs. Lincoln & Mrs. Sopher visited the South School. Miss Davis gave the the same lesson she gave so effectively before the Convention. Blotters have been given to all. The Prize Essay for the grade was won by Miss Kutish. $3.00 Mrs. Thoreson then spoke of the W.C.T.U. where she had formerly lived in Hemphill Co. Texas. where they had over 200 members. She commended our work in the schools. thot that G. needs to work for temperance in other places, as well as here. She quoted Mr. Poling. Sec. C.E. A saloonless Nation by 1920. A saloonless world by 1930!! Make it as hard as possible to do wrong and easy as possible the do right. Sang in closing "Stand up [etc?] 9 were present. Effie Stocks, Sec.
