July 18, 1916 Met in the Christian Church. 9 present as it was very warm. Mrs. [Thorsen?] led in prayer after reading Ps. 119 sang "I Worship the King" Minutes were read and approved. Com. on Anti-Cigarette reported a visit to the Mayor. but no satisfaction. continued. Discussion in regard to strangers working here. Mrs. Wrage, Mrs. [Waltand?] Mrs. Bailey ap. Com. on Rest Room at Fair. Nom. Com. Mrs. Woods, Mrs. [Sopher?] Mrs. Lord Pro. Com. [Miss?] Buck Mrs. Brande Mrs, Dayton Mrs. Lincoln then gave a good report of the Dist. Com. She said that the Dist. Sec. said that Grinnell had the best Com. that 9th Dist. ever had. [Miss?] Terrell said that in the reports of work accomplished Grinnells was best after [illegible] One of the good things they had at Richland was a Doctor's Clinic by Mrs. Williams, who so soon afterwards met with her great loss by the death of her husband. The [Universal Panacea for Weakness?] in interest, intermittent fever, etc. seemed to be a steady course of Union Signal, Champion and Year Book. 71 delegates and visitors were present. The four periods were devoted to welcomes_ Peace Reports and Suffrage The Work of the World is done by a few God wants some of it done by you. "D. K.
