The Grimmell W. C. J. U. Met in the Congregational church Jan 21 1919. The meeting was a praise(?) meeting as so many of the States Ratiifed the Amendment. 15 members were present - meeting opened by singing "America" Rev Vittum led the Devotional he read the 5 chap of Gal. beginning at the 13 verse, minutes of last meeting read and approved. Voted one dollar to Lillian Stevens Fund. Our President spoke this being a meeting of Praise as 38 States voted for Prohibition - Mrs Braude and Mrs Sopher were honored at this meeting as being the oldest members of the Union Mrs Braude become a member in 1874 Mrs Sopher 1873. Mrs Woodburn sang "Some glad day" After short talks by Rev Woodburn Rev Vittum Mrs Rink Mrs Braude and Mrs Sopher Mr Richards and his Daughter sang "As goes America so goes the world". Mrs Kearney read the Amendment and we were favored by talks from Mr Ray Rev Robert Liucol(?) Rev Sopher. Mrs Woodburn sang "It must be Ratified" and "The Light is on" Miss Buck told of the work we are doing in connection with our work for Prohibition. The Grimmell W. C. J. U. met in the Cong. Church on Feb. 18, 1919 with 17 members present. Meeting opened by ringing "My Faith looks up to Thee". Mrs Comly read the 4th and 3th Psalm Prayer by Mrs Lincoln. Pres, read the names of County of Foreign Woman Mrs Stocks told of the Mexican Woman in our own town. Reported that 44 States had Ratified Pres. read a letter from the State Pres. asking that a Key Woman be Elected for the Jubilee Celebration. Mrs Kearney Elected Key Woman with Mrs Wattand Mrs Bailey Mrs Richards Mrs Comly Mrs Eichhorn and Mrs Hamilton as helpers. Voted to put aside money from(?) prizes for the best essays on Temperence - Mrs Richards had a Programs on the Fransis Willard Memorial Fund. Voted to give 2 dollars to the Fund. Dismissed by repeating the mispah Ass. Sec.
