June 17 1919 Grinnell W. C. T. U. met June 17 with nine members present. two (?) 11 in all Mrs. Kirk led the Devotional by reading the 37th Ps. Singing and prayers by several of the members. Minutes read and approved. Mrs. Lincoln reported for the (?) on Sabbath Observance. inadvisable to try by law to (?) the moving-picture shows, Mrs. Kirk reported the prize given to [blank] for best Essay on Temperance, and the presentation of Mifs (Miss?) Willard's picture to the Heigh(?) School. Mifs lelark(?) Supl of Flower Missions being absent. Mrs. Lincoln reported a lovelybasket of flowers sent to Oakdale. Mrs. Riller had the program. Lucile Triplett(?) gave a selection of instrumental music, Mrs. R. read a paper on the evil effects of liquor drinking, a recitation was given by Allene Ritter. The (?) that visited the (?) rooms of the Davis School reported a good interest taken. Voted to pay bill for 1.40 for frame for picture, (?) by repealing the the Mizbah(?) Mrs. Woods Asst. Sec.
