April 20, 1920 The Union on the third Tuesday in April met at the usual place of meeting Promptly at three, the president called the meeting to order -- opened by singing: Come Thou Almighty King and How Firm a Foundation: Miss Sadie Clark, the leader, called for another selection, Come Holy Spirit. She then read the scriptures where Christ speaks of the Little children, and euyments(?) were made on the disobedience of the Children of Isreal. Following the reading, a prayer was offered. Secretary report was read No(?) (?) present but Mrs. Lincoln reported $22.60 received from the market day sales. disbursement 1.35(?) leaving(?) a total of $21.25 $1.74 was received the afternoon of the meeting. The above report was accepted and Treasurer will pay other (?) experience(?). The president read a letter from State ally Horner(?) discouraging the attempt of any prosecuting of the sales of cigaretts[sic]. Mrs. Somers and Mrs. John Lincoln gave interesting reports and accounts of child physical welfare. The Institute was considered which will be a joint two days meeting. The hand books were reconsidered and ordered rent(?) for. There were 19 present at the meeting. The usual order of adjournment was resorted to.
