The W.C.T.U. much as its regular monthly session in the auditorium of the Congregational church Oct. 19 1920, with attendance of eighteen. 8. After the calling of the meeting to order Mrs. John Lincoln preceded with the devotional exercises. She opened the meeting by a song "Jesus is mine". Portions of scripture from Proverbs and fourth chapter of Ester was read. Following the business was taken up: Secretary report was read. It was announced that there was forty four dollars in treasury. Miss Buek being absent, no further report was read. Our attention was drawned to the contributions for the Benedict Home. Mrs. Watland giving a brief explanation of what this Home was organized for, their Christian training, and other comments of special interest. What shall we do about our next years programs was asked by our pres. It was move and seconded and carried that we spend for 100 program same as those that have been in rise. Mrs. Buek resigned thus this essay work had to be reconsidered a new leader appointed. President recommended Mrs. Kearney. Mrs. Lincoln moved a new supt. be selected for the medal contest. A very lengthy and complete report was given by Mrs. Kirk of the Annual report of the convention at Dubuque. The report was full of interest and thoroughly enjoyed by those who heard it. Meeting closed in its usual way. Seasonal cigarettes card were distributed stack up over town.
