132 The August meeting met in the auditorium of the [Eng?] church August 12 1922. The president turned over the meeting to Miss Buck she called for one gospel song Onward Christian Soldiers was sung. Mrs Hollister being president she kindly consented to read the scripture. She read the 13th chapter of 1st Corinthians. She emphasized honor and loyalty to Christ. and to Him we owe all that is fine and good. She closed her remarks by a prayer. Mrs. Hamilton pressed with the business Sec report was read and approved. The reports of the different committees were called for. Mrs [Hess?] responded with an interesting report on flower distributed several calls were made, praters and flowers were given while calling. Mrs Lincoln reported 20 visits made several bunches of flowers were sent to community hospital. Miss Emma Baily commended the mayor services in the efforts he put forth against Sabbath desecration. Mrs. Watland reported [what?] she had accomplished the past year. Mrs. heisel gave her report on contest work. Mrs. Lincoln and Miss Hollister read [illegible] that were very applicable. There were thirteen present. Election resulted in Mrs. P Lincoln for president. Miss Buck for Treasurer Mrs. Rich for secretary. Balance of assistants were advised to be taken up later. Meeting closed in its normal way.
