142 A report of the poster and essay work was made by Mrs. Kearney. Mrs. P who had returned from Tennessee gave an interesting talk on what she observed in this state in reference to law violation. Sad but interesting account - Surely a great field for missionaries and law enforcement. There were about 40 present. The July monthly meeting met at the Congregational church parlor on Tuesday July 21. The president open the meeting on schedule time @ P.M. The Union sang Rescue The Perishing. In place of the regular scripture verses the pres. opened the meeting to memory verses This part of the devotionals was followed by prayer Mrs. Lincoln. A short program consisting of a solo by Rush. Wassar Miss Wilson presiding at the piano. Miss Mary Cox rendered a very pleasing violin solo her mother accompanied her with the piano. After the program The president took up the buisness interest and after the flower bill was allowed a few discussions our attention was given to convention Miss Hollister mission among us. A committee was appointed to assist Miss Hollister in solicting for new members. The committee of three members composing Mrs. Stocks, Mrs. Wood and Watland. Her effort wase successful She spoke at the Presbyterian church on the Sabbath.
