144 The September meeting of the W.C.T.U. met with our president Sept 22- 1923. Meeting opened by prayer Mrs Wm. Hamilton was leader of devotionals Reading and exhorting in the Psalms. America and Onward Christian Soldiers. Other prayers were offered in behalf of the work asking Gods blessing on the efforts that seemeth best to make. The delegates were appointed as Follows Mrs. Robert Lincoln, Miss H. Buck, Mrs. H. Griffith, Mrs. Richards, Ms. Holland Mrs Evans and Childs The annual thank offering of ten dollars was officially agreed upon and Mrs. Wordburn was made life member. The consideration of Sabbath observance was given some attenion to and it was suggested that the executive committee confer with the mayor and huge action of the Sabbath law breakers. After business the new members were taken in, in the usual way The little children of Mr and Mrs Jesse Lord were made life members An interesting program was planned and carred out. Mrs Orin Hutchins sang a solo; using her guitar for an accompaniment. Light refreshments were served which added to the social part of the meeting. There were forty two present. Closed by repeating the [Mission?]. Officers elected Mrs. Lincoln Pres Sec Mrs EW Richards Treas Mrs. Harriet Buck V. Pres Mrs. I Brande Bap V. Pres Mrs. J.S. Staks M.Eve. V.
