146 The November 1923 meeting met at Mrs. John Evans on Park st. Mrs. Morrison read the scriptures using different passages bearing on the importance of activity in His service. After singing, Mrs. Lincoln presided over the business part of the meeting. Mrs. Middleton talk to the teachers at the gathering of the Pres. church was commended and pronounced a profitable meeting. A bill of $14.88 was allowed to cover the expense of this occasion. It was left with Mrs. Lincoln to appoint the program committee Mrs. Word and Miss Emma Baily was appointed Mrs. EM. Kearney spoke on the Jubilee meeting planned during January in memory of the 18th Amendment. Mrs. G. O. Hatland recommended a book entitled the manace of morphine, heroin and cocaine. It was officially agreed that the book be purchased and placed in the public library. Mrs. McGuin brought to us the different things of interest pertaining to the Legislation of home and country.There were forty two present
