164 scriptions for the signal from Nora at the time of convention 600 [wer sher?] Our union voted $2.00 for two Union Signals to be sent to the Womans Reformatory at Rocknell City. We now have 203 members to our local Union. Two new members were obtained - Mrs G W Richard and Mrs Mary Hess were made life members by the Grinnell Union. Miss Margeret Watsere of Malcom was made a life member. Mrs. Lucille Shade State treasurer had charge of the thank offering service Thursday afternoon. A liberal offering was given $2700. Miss Buck of Grinnell presented our state president with a white ribbon necklace decorated with 79 pansies. A pansy for each of the 79 members gained by our Union during the last year Mrs Mary I Smith editor of WCTU Champion presented our local treasurer Miss Harriett Buck with a fountain pen for sending to this paper the best list of names and street addresses of any union Grinnell Union was awarded two ribbons - one for increase in membership and one for efficiency The Temperance [lexology?] was sung The meeting was closed with the mispah an attendance of fifty were present.
