168 The March 17, 1925 session of the Union met with Mrs. Robt. [Kulze?] After the president called the meeting to order Mrs Woodburn read from the scripture Mrs Wooburn favored us with solos with Mrs Todd at the piano. Several prayers wer offered. A pciture of our Mrs. Francis Willard was exhibited and announced that Miss Lois Woodburn would take it with her to Africa to present in her work there. This being the last meeting that Mrs. Woodburn would be with us Just before she left the Union all sang God be with You until We meet again. A deep regret was expressed on the departure of the one mentioned and may the [love?] and success go with them to their new field of labor. Mrs. Straks gave a brief report on peace consideration - Plans under consideration for a union meeting Miss Baily announced that she had spoken for the window of the Central meat Market for Market day. Mrs. Watland spoke on the interest of the Union Signal. It was officially decided that the pastors as they fill the vacancies be presented by a years subscription of the Signal An allowance of 3.00 was allowed for anti cigarette literature. A petition was circulated to be signed placing the bible back in schools. After the business Mrs. Watland gave a startling accounts of the drug menace that confronts our people to day. Miss Buck and Mrs. Richards also read startling facts concerning the present [circlative?]
