$49.53/100 was realized from the Market Day held April 3. Mrs. J.S. Stoaks read a very interesting paper on Sabbath Observance. Rev. Bosworth closed the meeting with a benediction Jennie Baily, Sec. pro tem. On May 18th 1926 our union met with Mrs. J.S. Stoaks 1008 Third Ave. The president opened the meeting with a song "All Around the World Mrs. George Blagg lead the devotionals. She read the 42nd Psalm and made appropriate remarks. Mrs. Lemper and Mrs. Blagg led in prayer. Captains for the wards for obtaining new members were named. 1st ward Mrs J.S. McKee, 2nd ward Mrs. G. O. Watland, 3rd ward Mrs. E. S. [name] 4th ward Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson. Ten dollars was allowed for the social service work. The ninth of June was flower mission day. Mrs. Hess asked to have flowers taken to the rest ward June 8th. Mrs E.M. Kearney stated that the country G.C.T.U. [correstion?] would be held as [searsbow?] - the middle of June. Miss Jennie Baily Mrs. J.S. Stoaks, Mrs Emma Baily, and Miss Delma Anger were appointed delegates. Mrs. J.S. Stoaks had charge of the program. Mrs. Prof S.E. Giffillian spoke on child welfare. Mrs Dr. Gares of the extension department of the child welfare station is Irma Cutty gives very helpful addresses once a month to the Grinnell Parents Teachers Association. Mrs. Dr. E.S. Evans named some of the candidates to be voted on at the primary election June 7.
