184 Our July meeting was held at Mrs. C.S. Woods, on the 20th of the month. The day was warm and the picnic in connection with this meeting was thoroughly enjoyed by all. There were about fifty present. The president called the meeting to order a Gosple [sic] song was sung We Praise hee O God! after which the 91st Psalm was read. An exhortation for the safety of the Godly Their habitation and their deliverance to those who call upon Him. Through the advice of our State Pres. a book on the testimony of the drys was purchased by the president and placed in our city library. Miss Anger drew our attention to the barrel that was to be filled with fruit and sent to the Home. Miss Anger - Press reporter was allowed $2.00 to cover all expenses in connection with her work. President appointed a nominating committee who are to have selected people for the various offices to be voted on by ballot at the August meeting. Committee composed of Miss Jennie Baily, Mrs. C.S. Woods and Mrs. German. Six ribbon recruits received the white ribbon tied on their wrist by the president. The number consisted of Maxine Noll, Luella Wood, Joseph Wood, Hobert Wood, Lenard Wood and Julia Terpstra. After the tying a prayer was offered by the president and a very appropriate song Precious Jesus was sung making it a very impressive service.
