Low Moor Iowa Oct 30th 1880 Dear Sister We received your letter. was very glad to hear from you and to get you and Almas picture she is real good looking she looks like an old maid Did you have on that red suit when you had it taken if you had it would have bursted the gallery. What does Alma wear red or black. We sold twenty five hogs the other day for five seventy five. Ma and Sus made me take the flowers over to the office in the rain friday afternoon we have not begun to pick corn yet. Jessie sent for her clothes but her mother told her she couldnt have them unless she came home after them so she went home and staid two days. We dont know where they are now I guess they are up to Hudson they quit Dans. We did not know Charlie Stistner was home. It rains so much we dont get to church to hear any news. We dont know whether [Hann?] goes to see Annie on or not but I guess not. Freds man came to help us thrash. Ever your brother Will.
