Low Moor Iowa Oct 30 1881 Sunday evening Dear Sister Stell I received your letter and Almas and your picture and think they are very nice I think Alma looks like Em Mory. I have named my bird Chet. I have got the playbulles (little kitten) you ought to let kiss me it is not a very pretty color for it is gay and white we though we would leave the flowers for you to arrange yourself it rained so much we was afraid there was going to be a frost and kill all of the pansies or we would not have sent them in such a rainy time for Ma said they would
