Dear Mother
I wrote to you some three or four months since enclosing a letter which was sent to me written by Rufus Eno of Ohio - it appeared from the letter that he was arrested on a charge of being accesory to a murder alledged to have been committed by his wife - I felt anxious to learn whether he was a cousin of ours & also what had been done with his care - but have received no reply I am afraid my letter has miscarried - if you have not written I wish you would - I am also anxious to have our Fathers likeness as with the exception of two or three books formerly owned by him I have nothing - I recd a letter from Mary containing a "[?]" of our Father life I am "[?]" of the family for which I am under many obligiations to her - I answered her letter immediately - At present we are all well - Elizabeth has had some severe attacks of her old complaint but is now well and does
