great one - there were at least fifteen thousand people attended - the exhibition of fruit was by far the best I ever saw - in apples, pears, peaches, grapes, figs, almonds, and nectarines we can beat all locations - in vegetables we can show "some pumpkins" one of which weighed 264 lbs - and one beet - which will beat any other ever raised weighing ninety three pounds - I see by the papers you have had what it is fashionable to call a "financial crisis" - has the end come yet? - In politics our State has gone Democrtic with a vengeance - I don't know what my politics are and would be obliged to any one to let me know - I shall continue as usual to be on the par of the minority - Eliabeth sends her love to Eliza & Mary Stewart Walter & Mr Frank - Please write Yours truly Henry Eno
