Doctors SHARP AND SHARP Monona, Iowa Feb. 20, 1885 Brother McCormick; Yours received, some time since asking a sketch of my career as an M.D. during the past year, which will not strike any member of the class speechless with envy, when told, but I must admit has far exceeded my hopes, in fact I spent very little time on what was to follow the attained object, for which I labored when a member of the C.M.C. The all important present so engrossed my mind that the future gave me no concern whatever. About the 20 of March we reached home, & Friday the 28 my first summons came & my peace ended, more than once I heartily wished a fairy versed in plyoric would loan me her wand or better still
