for the weather here it is very cold and dry the new seeded meadowes have not got up through the old stubble yet and grain looks pretty poor. as for the folks i dont know much about but what few i do i will let you know what they are about Naylor and [Lot?] is a [?] this weeke Naylor says be gad this spring more than ever he says be gad that Barber dont put in wheat to to [s?te] him he leaves to mu- ch uncovered [Ensine] is a getting along after the old sort and Alvin and J Seaman about the same John Child is getting a long well he goes up to Barbers 2 or [3] times a weake to see Ada so you would not stand
