stella grandmother was verry sorry to 
have her sugar cake brought back it come 
so near her and then she could not get it 
I send word to naylor about that sugar but 
have got no answer john child and ivin 
mosher and charley strickland and all of the 
boys that went has got back that is alive poor 
chester cornstock will never return john t 
strickland has [?] sons all at home his wife 
has three one twoo years old and twoo more 
a few weeks old [rices?] wife died a short time 
ago josephs folks has had a letter from dutys
folks duty has to got johns and is making stone 
wall he thinks that he shant come back to york 
state verry quick how is the fruit in your state 
we have nothing we have no cherres no plums 
not one verry few currents there is 
no [illeg] berres hardly our folks went 
one day last week they got twoo quarts half 
green just now john child came here and 
said that Naylor sent fifteen pounds 
of sugar and he told him to take it to 
Aunt Mary and so he sent it by cad
