Lyons Iowa Aug 18th 1870 Henry Child Esq Mr Corning wished me to write and tell you that the Suit of Childs against Linbeck before Squire Westbrook was taken up on a writ of Error to the Circuit Court and from there to the Augment term of the Supreme Court and as that prerogative of the Supreme Court has been abolished the case will come before the Supreme Court and all arguments before that Court must be in print consequently he wishes you to advance the printers fee also other neccessary Exp which will amount to about $12.00 Or give your assent and he will advance the same You can write to me or come up and see him he says he did not think of it when you were here [WCG]
