104 Denison Ia. Sept. 6, 1879. The Denison Total Abstinence Union to pursuant to adjourn- ment. The meeting opened with singing and prayer by Mrs Laub. The minutes of last meeting read and approved. All persons on the programme were absent except Mrs Kattie McAhren who was not prepared. Mrs Eaton sang a beautiful song followed by an essay by Mrs. Louise Grey. The following programme was reported for next evening: Speech Rev. J. B. Hawk Music Select Reading Miss Kellie [illegible] " " " Julia King Musical entertainment by Mrs Eaton and Miss Laura Purdy.
