Misses Alvera Julie Bur- lingamme and Misses Sayce and Plimpton then favored the meeting with music. Mr. Ed. miles when called on reported unprepared with a speech, but gave a select reading, which was heartily cheered at the close. Mr. P. M. Sutton of Marshall- town was then called on for remarks to which he responded, encouraging the ladies to attend sessions of the court, and expressing himself in full sympathy with the tem- perance cause. The following programme was reported by the committee for next evening.
