Denison IA, Feb 14/80 The Denison Total Abstinence met at the usual time and place, the President in the chair. The meeting opened with singing and prayer by the President. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The entertainment of the evening commenced with select reading by Miss Julia King. Miss Doty Bond then volunteered a pretty [little?] piece of poetry. Reading by Capt. Partridge came next in order. By request he read again in the latter part of the evening. On account of the absence of misses Shannon and Keith the mock trial was postponed till next evening.
