OCTOBER 12 AND 19, 9 AM TO 4 PM EACH SATURDAY. NOVEMBER 16 AND 23, 9 AM TO 4 PM EACH SATURDAY. DECEMBER 7 AND 14, 9 AM TO 4 PM EACH SATURDAY. THE CLASS WILL MEET IN THE FILM STUDIES OFFICE ON THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO CAMPUS, HUNTER BUILDING, ROOM 102. This intensive two-day course will cover Super-8 camera operation, lighting, editing, and some film aesthetics. If you are interested in shooting home movies or thinking about making art film, this class will teach you the basic film techniques you will need to start filming. REGISTRATION -- Send a $10 deposit to the Rocky Mountain Film Center (Hunter 102, Box 316, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO 80309) by the Wednesday before the workshop you wish to take. the balance of the tuition payment will be due at the first class. WORKSHOP WILL BE TAUGHT BY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FILMMAKERS: Patti Bruck has a B.A. in Film Studies from C.U. She has received several NEA funded fellowships for her films and will be featured in a segment of a Fall PBS series on regional filmmakers. J. Gluckstern, a graduate of C.U. has been making films the past 5 years and has received several grants for his films. He has been with the Rocky Mountain Film Center for 5 years. Mike Pierce, also a graduate of C.U. is returning to the RMFC after a year of teaching and working at Film In The Cities Minneapolis. He has received a grant from the boulder Arts Commission for his films. Bill Spencer taught the summer 1984 filmmaking workshop with Gulckstern. He studied filmmaking and film theory at the University of Colorado and has been producing his own films for four years. For further information, call 492-1531
