I think I will send Louis letter to say but not at this time. I dont know how it is, but your mother and the boys seem to have a perfect hatred of you and me. I dare not mention a [illegible] of what has been said. I often [think?] how you are situated, if any accident should hapen you in any way, you would be better off in the hands of strangrs than some of you relations. I want you to take good care of the letter you have had from Louis relative to the money Payment. dont write to him any thing about what I written to you about. Let me hear from you often, no one sees or knows any thing about your letters but myself. If there is any thing I can do for you I will do it with pleasure, from your Father &c S G Finney
