(3) Since writing the first part of my letter, have seen Jake Abegg. Says he will not discount a Cent on Stocker notes, they amt. to about 225$ Stocker told him he would pay them off this fall. I think I can buy up Turkeys & Chickens for about 12# or 13# cents ready to ship, that is to buy them alive and pick them without scaulding heads & feet taken off. Frank Gutch & Frank Tinsley had their trial find 20$ each and costs together with atty fee about 60$ each, so much for there fun, one of the scalawags run off. We had much better crops of corm this season than Last. write soon from you Father &c S. G. F
