Blakesburg Ia July 13 1879 Mr Geo S Finney After so long a time I recd a letter from you dated Virginia City 3 Inst, Emma recd one at the same time from you, glad to know you had got into business that just suited you, and pays you such a nice dividend, the amount of travil you have, will be good exercise. This has been one of the most seasonable years, and the best crops generly of every kind We have had for the last 20 years We are now in the midst of wheat, oats, & hay harvest, hands are scarce.
