Blakesburg Iowa 3-24-86 Mr Geo S Finney yours of the 7th Inst came duly to hand, I have have had a good-deal of runing around or would have ans. sooner. you write me that some of your Cattle had died. Mr Fritz told me on his return home that most of your Cattle he thought looked well. he told me he took diner with you. he said Mr Butler at Eweing told him you were doing better than any one else on the the Plains. Fritz got 200$ from Bob Cox. Bob got a Loan of 600$ - Emma says she will depend on getting that Photo of your Cook Wash Woman and &c Well I Wonder if he has been getting Married and not say a word to any one about, she says) Well Geo I must inform you that Ross Bare died about 6 weeks ago. Ben Pratt died last Monday in Otto and was buried here on tuesday last, that night old Mr Thompson died and was buried on Wed. Albert Vancleave is very low Cant last much longer. ptherwise the people here are generally Well. We have a good many strangers in town every day looking up situations on account the RR being located here the right of way has all been bought from Otto to Moravia and paid for and the gradeing Contracted for, and as soon as the ground gets settled a little more the work will commence.
