is far superior to ours although I am well contented and I never had a beter prospect for a crop than I have at present I have worked my corn over once I planted a bout twenty three or four ackers my fall wheat looks tolerable well rather thin on ground but well filled oats looks splendid I sowed 8 ackers my spring wheat looks well sowed 18 ackers of Odessa the fall wheat is a ripening very fast in the last few days their will be some wheat cut next week wee have had a good deal of rain here this spring but none too much if it will not keepe it up through harvest. I was at a field trile of harvesters selfe binders yesterday at or near McPherson too wire and one twine binder the Osborn wire binder appeared to
