February 18. 1935 Mrs. Shumack was hostess Feb. 18 to Cary Club with 13 present. Roll call was answered with Washington stories. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mrs. [Ferrow?] gave a report of the Federation meeting. She told of the [Tuberculis?] test, also [illegible] place for buying [illegible] houses. Mrs. Erwin reported a balance of $4.03 in the Treasury. Mrs. Alice Phelps read "Living Leaves from Washington's Life" telling of the gardens at M. Vernon. Mrs. Waffle read the Chapter "Brother's Blood" from Epic of America. Current events were followed by adjournment.
