June 1 - 1936 The Cary Club met for their annual picnic at the beautiful country house of Mrs Harley Erwin. 18 members, 2 former members 1 guest and 3 children Jac & Bobby Scott and Mary Lou Thomas. The usual bountiful dinner was served by the committee Mrs Erwin, Thomas & McKean at one large and three quartette tables. After roll call, minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. The Treas report read and accepted. Voted to donate $3.00 to Park fund. Mrs Thomas advance of her dues for 1936-37 to meet the deficit of year caused by unusual drain on Treasury. The program was in charge of Mrs Ina Bragg showing antique [diners?], [gold silver?] and china from her family collection brought from England many yrs ago. Conundrums given by Mrs Ina Fernow. A Doll Exhibit was next in order. The owners Mrs Beeson. Beeson, [winter crowner?], Thomas. Wilson Erwin. Jennie Erwin and Scott and Mary Lou Thomas. Their history was feelingly told by their owners and for a brief period they were all children again. Alphabetical contest conducted by Mrs ford on Letter F.
