Mrs. A. E. Blinks was hostess to the Cary Club, Monday afternoon October 19, 1936. After the roll call, Mrs. W. S. Winter made a few remarks and read the poem, "The Best You Can," by Wordsworth as a tribute to the memory of Mrs. Dora Elson, who passed away October 8, 1936. Mrs. Blinks offered prayer. The secretary gave reports for the June, September and October meetings which were all approved as read. The Federation meeting was reported by Mrs. A. S. Fernow. A motion was made and seconded that a bill for flowers be allowed and an order drawn on the treasurer for same carried. The program was as follows: The [Amana?] That Is, by Mrs. Esther Griffiths. Current events were given. There were sixteen members present. Adjourned to meet in two weeks with Mrs. Alice Phelps. After the meeting adjourned Mrs. Blinks served delicious refreshments in honor of her birthday which occured that week. Oca B. Price, sec.
